Line Technician – London District Office

Jackson Energy Cooperative Corp. is seeking two Line Technicians (Apprentice up to 1st Class) for the London District. Must be high school graduate or have G.E.D. equivalent. Must be able to report to London District within 30 minutes from home.
Requirements: 1) Minimum of 4 years on-the-job experience in electrical line distribution, construction & maintenance, including overhead and under-ground. 2) Must have successfully completed a Lineman Apprenticeship Program, or have certification from another qualified program. 3) Requires experience working after-hours service and outage problems, in trouble-shooting line faults, and equipment. 4) Must have thorough knowledge of safety rules and procedures. 5) Must have experience in determining line feeds, installation and removal/replacement of transformers, OCR's, fuses, voltage regulators capacitors, etc. 6) Must have a valid Kentucky CDL. Normal work week is 40 hours, but will be required to work irregular hours and overtime in outage and emergency situations and to participate in the On-Call Program.
