ENVIROWATTS PROGRAM - You can put a little green in our outlets and help the environment. By signing up for our EnviroWatts program, you can purchase green power electricity generated from landfill gas. The program gives our members the option of purchasing the power on their electric bill each month.

The power is produced from generators powered by landfill gas. The green power project is offered by Jackson Energy through our wholesale power provider, East Kentucky Power. For more information on EnviroWatts, call 1 800-262-7480.

 
ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION PROGRAM - Reptiles and amphibians are found throughout Kentucky, and sometimes in the classroom.

Jackson Energy offers a free environmental education program that brings Kentucky wildlife to the classroom. Professional biologists present a program on some of the Commonwealth's most popular creatures and also how environmental concerns relate to providing electric power.
