News5/17/2010 JEC employees thanked for restorationOn behalf of Senture, I want to express my sincere appreciation to your staff for efforts above and beyond on the evening of May 7, 2010. The professionalism and dedication demonstrated by the individuals that worked to replace our transformer were impressive. The issue started around 5 p.m. Friday when a fuse apparently blew in our transformer. We had Jackson Energy staff onsite within five minutes of our call. The problem was quickly diagnosed and the fuse was replaced. However, upon closer examination, it was determined the real issue stemmed from the fact our transformer was undersized for the amount of power we are now pulling into the building. Calls were placed and a transformer was located. Your staff stayed onsite in to the night to get the unit hooked up well. In fact, they did not leave until everything was tested at 3:30 a.m. With the clientele for whom we provide services (including the United States Government) we have very minimal disruptions. Had this ssue been pushed to the next morning for repair, not only would over 700 people have lost wages, but critical work on the 2010 Census would have been delayed.
