News9/23/2009 JEC Employee Imposters ReportedAn elderly woman in Estill County reported this week that two men came to her home and gained entrance posing as electric company employees. The men left after the woman became suspicious of their intentions, but the woman suspects that they may have intended to rob her. "Jackson Energy employees will always be driving vehicles that have the company logo on the side," said Jackson Energy Director of Public Relations Karen Combs. "They will also be wearing clothing with the Jackson Energy logo and will have a co-op ID with them." Combs advised area residents not to open their doors to strangers who claim to be Jackson Energy employees who are not driving a vehicle with the company logo or are not wearing shirts with the Jackson Energy logo. "If anyone does come to your home, claiming to be a Jackson Energy employee and are not in a marked vehicle or are not wearing shirts with the company logo, don't let them into your home and please report the incident to local authorities," Combs said.
